Hey! Welcome to the Ben Finch Photography blog. Our company has recently grown into an entire team. Although we all work under Ben Finch Photography, we’re much more than just one person. Rather, we’re a team of creative, professional photographers. Our home base is in the beautiful Southeast Tennessee region but we work all over the world. This blog is an opportunity to showcase highlights from some of our shoots as well as share exciting news & stories of what’s going on in our world. We invite you to come on in & enjoy the community. About Ben
Following my brief stint in college as a Marine Science major, I quickly transitioned my studies to theology & communications (my family is still rejoicing!). Several degrees later & accompanied by thousands of miles spent on the road teaching & speaking, leading worship w/ a band, & playing collegiate sports, I wasn’t ready to define my career.

Sometime after graduate school, while enrolled in doctoral studies, I was wrestling with the vocation I was in. My thoughts insatiably seemed to gravitate toward creative arts… a desire I’d suppressed for so long. I spent my free time dabbling in photography & graphic design, resulting in two businesses, Ben Finch Photography & The Visible Group. Eventually, I resigned from my well-paying steady job & spent time on the road as a business leadership consultant & motivational speaker, while authoring a book, “A Remarkable Practice.” Yet, in 2009, I weighed the risks & plunged full-time into my two businesses. I now have the opportunity to travel all over the world photographing weddings, families & editorial features. Along the way I’ve been privileged to receive a few accolades & publish some work. Yet, I’m most honored to be the husband to my gorgeous wife, Joy, & father to Brennan, Knox & Molly.

About Alan & Jenn
All attempts to describe these two fall short, they’re simply wonderful. Rarely do you find a couple so talented & fun-loving. Coupled with their creative perspective & standards for excellence, they are a wonderful part of the team.

Alan, an admitted Justin Beiber fan, spends his weekdays as a dentist & owner of Brock Dental. You’ll also hear of his love to travel as a pilot, regularly finding reason to get up in the air. And even on vacations he rises early to find prime lighting so he can return home with extraordinary reminders of his travels.
Jenn, who manages a classroom full of students by day, is equally adept behind the lens of the camera. She’s not too keen on early mornings, much preferring late nights. And rumor has it that’s she’s quite the wake-boarder. For her, the highlight of photography occurs when a client realizes you’ve captured a moment they wish could last forever. Alan & Jenn are available for weddings & lifestyle sessions!
