I’ll never forget this one folks!! A friend from high school, Nicole Cook Saylor, sent me an email a few weeks back seeing if I’d be interested in doing an extended family portrait session. Although I usually don’t take on this many subjects in a portrait setting, I was free that evening & thought, “why not?” It was so much fun. Apparently several family members were celebrating birthdays this month but in particular, the grandmother was celebrating her 80th birthday. I ushered everyone to the backyard for a large family portrait before we broke up into smaller families. It was really fun… and hilarious at times I might add. Thanks guys for having me & letting me share this occasion with you.
5 families total were represented, the Lones, Cooks, Saylors, Lockes & Allens.

What a great gift! The grandmother was given a digital picture frame with images of her family; she was moved with emotion!

On a lighter note, here’s a little animation that I threatened to post on the blog… I like it!

And, I can’t leave out the modern take on Iwo Jima… a powerful & moving rendition!
Feel free to check out some of the rest of the pics on my Facebook page… click here.
