I have been sorting through my Lightroom library & the pics from this year’s Halloween keep staring at me & they seem to utter, “You better do something with us… We’re not just supposed to sit here! Free us! The world must see!”
My immediate thought is, “Get over it… it’s December now. You are so 2 months ago; it’s too late!”
“It’s never too late… we have value!!!!”
Okay, okay… I will harness my desire to offer further commentary on how my ‘unseen’ pictures verbally abuse me until I release them for viewing. Here they are in all their glory:
Knox is quite content in his bear suit snuggling next to his Grandaddy. For this year’s Halloween, Brennan was a lion, Joy wore her Auburn Tigers sweatshirt, & Knox was a bear. Hence, ‘lions, tigers, & bears.’ I guess I was the “Oh my!”

Love that little ‘lion’ bottom!

Knox couldn’t quite handle all the excitement, he opted rather for a nap. Look at those little cheeks. Looks just like his daddy… bless him!

My little nephew Hunter meant serious business as he was armed with his full fireman gear & fire axe which he said was “the key to everyone’s house.”

My nephew, Chase, was a Dalmatian, complete with floppy ears.

After some pics at our house we ventured down the road to the Mayfield Farm (conveniently located approximately 3.5 miles down the road). FYI, Athens, TN is the home of the legendary Mayfield Dairy. I grew up with some of the Mayfield families & so it is always neat to visit their farm. Over the last few years, Micheal Mayfield has developed the Mayfield Farm & Nursery to include family activities & educational opportunities for children. During the months of Sept-Nov they have a corn maze & lots of fall activities. Our annual Halloween tradition includes heading out to the farm for a hay ride.

Brennan was munching on kettle corn & enjoying being behind the wheel.

Scottie Mayfield (he’s the one who appears in all the Mayfield commercials) takes us for a special tour into the area where they used to milk the cows when the family business was much smaller. The boys loved it!

Personally, my favorite thing about the farm are all the animals. This little pig was fun to play around with. When Joy was a little girl she had a pet pot-bellied pig named Wally. She said this pig looked just like Wally.

As many of you know, I have a deep affection for llamas & have termed them, “the world’s most underestimated mammal.” I even have llama t-shirts that I designed that have that phrase on it… no joke (well it is kind of a joke but I actually do have tees). Don’t you love this guy! Seriously, what’s not to love about him?! I think if he were my llama, I’d name him Jed.

Suzanne - Brennan is soooo stinkin’ cute in that lion costume!
Amy McDonald - I am so excited about how these pictures turned out. You really captured the boys personalities in these. I also love the picture with Scottie Mayfield. The boys are really listening to him!! Once Again, Great Job!
Ben Finch - Matt… you don’t worry my friend, I am dedicating an entire blog post in the future to my llama shirts!
Matt Yeager - Ben, as good of an entrepreneur as you are…I would think that you would hyperlink better. You’re missing a prime opportunity to sell some lama shirts.
Joy Finch - Jed..it suits you!
