Audrey Glenn {Infant Lifestyle Session | Decherd, TN}

Dental school can be a confusing time in life (don’t worry, I promise I’m going somewhere with this).  It’s kind of a mixture between adulthood and primary school.  For instance, you have to act like an adult because the workload is pretty large.  On the other hand, there are definite elements of kindergarten involved.  There are arts and crafts (read that as lab work), and everything is arranged by alphabetical order based on your last name.  You did almost everything with the eight people whose last name was closest to yours.  It’s in the alphabetized goodness that this story begins.  Meet Cory and Amanda Glenn; only, back when I first met them (and when they first met each other), it was Amanda Quarles.  With that much difference in their last names, how on earth did they find one another?  This is the stuff Hollywood movies are made out of.  I can see the tagline now, “Separated by 10 letters in the alphabet, Cory and Amanda wouldn’t let distance get in the way!”

Alright, so maybe dental school wouldn’t sell as a blockbuster movie, but it’s still a great story.  They met and dated in dental school, then got married and started a beautiful family.  Allie will soon be three, and, in my opinion, looks just like her mom.  Their newest addition is Audrey who just celebrated 3 months.  Cory now serves as a dentist in Winchester, TN, where he is one of the best dentists around.  I can say this because, when we were in school, an accurate judge of your skill as a dental student was a count of how many of your peers would let you work on them.  Cory’s name was always on that list!  He also happens to have one of the best hygienists around; she just happens to be his wife Amanda.  What a talented family!

Recently Jennifer and I were asked to photograph Audrey to capture her 3 month milestones.  On our drive over to the middle part of the state, we were hoping for cloud cover that would allow beautiful soft light for outdoor pictures.  Right on cue, about an hour away, the sky began to cloud over.  Sweet!  Apparently, though, our hoping was too good.  It started pouring, and I mean pouring, rain when we were about 5 minutes out; it continued to rain for the next 3 hours.  Oops!  No worries though, Audrey was just as happy smiling indoors.  A baby’s third month is when she learns to smile and push up, and Audrey had both of those on full display!  Thanks Cory and Amanda for allowing us to photograph Miss Audrey; we can’t wait to watch her grow!

With all of the excitement, not to mention the rain beating down on the roof, a quick nap was in order to recharge.

Although we interrupted her nap, she was still all smiles afterward!

Through the use of M&M’s, we convinced big sister Allie to get in a few.  This comes with two dentists and a hygienist on hand!  Do as we say, not as we do…haha!

After a full day of outfit changes and smiling for the camera, Audrey was ready for a real nap.
